One other thing, the fact the buildings can be destroyed is awesome. Blowing a wall so you create an entrance for your team? Simply amazing. My team didn't do this, but I was run over by a tank doing this from the other team. They worked together beautifully and beat us handedly.

I'd like to start off by saying I have always been a CoD fan and never played BC or any other Battlefield game. There is no question it is an entirely different experience. I downloaded the demo and played through it a few times last night. As someone who is new to the game it is not only very different and hard, but it was fun when I began to grasp how everything works before I became an idiot again. I agree with the unresponsive controls. Also, the assault rifle seems underpowered. I'm curious about the degree of customization that will be available for weapons as that is something I enjoy about FPS. The game seemed also horribly unbalanced when it came to vehicles. It seemed the other team kept getting tanks and would walk over the team I played on. When I finally got a tank it seemed difficult to control. Moreover, when I jumped into a helicopter (only once) I might as well have shot myself. It would take a while to figure that one out.All the gripes aside, I loved the extent of the game in size. My main frustration is the same one I have with any FPS, it seems no one works together. With CoD, you can get away with that. In BC2, you don't stand a chance in hell of surviving without teamwork. I see the game as failing unless more people would willing devote themselves to teamwork. I don't want to play a game requiring teamwork when none exists and can see myselg getting as frustrated over that as I do the cheaters in MW2. Don't get me wrong, the game was fun at moments and frustrating quite a bit more. Although, I'm still hoping this becomes more than it was during the demo. I'd love to dump MW2 for a cheat-free experience where everyone works together as a team.

Update: Since I've posted this article, I've gotten quite a bit of negative comments
from Battlefield fanboys on anything from lag to controls, and recommendations
as to what game I should be playing. I did not approve these comments because
they were more directed at me personally rather than the game demo itself. But
because their opinions differed from mine, most could not maintain a healthy
and friendly dialogue about the game itself. They have also made the assumption
that there is a certain bias and that I am just not a fan of Battlefield, to
which they must not have fully read my article. With all that said, yesterday I
intentionally played a lot of Bad Company 2 to see if somehow I was wrong in my
gripes and was too hard on the game. So I tried adjusted my controller
sensitivity, which did help, but the controls are still not as responsive
as I would like. I also did not experience lots of lag so perhaps this was a
fluke for me the other times I played. All-in-all though, I still stand by my
opinion that Bad Company 2's multiplayer is not as fun as Battlefield 1943 and
that DICE has a number of issues that need to be addressed if they want their multiplayer game to compete with Modern Warfare 2. I realize each game is unique and I am not trying to compare apples to oranges here. But once again, let me just go on the record to say that DICE is fully capable of giving us a great multiplayer experience and I am super hyped to play the single player campaign come March 2010. PS. I welcome comments, but please stick to the game.

To those attempting to leave flaming comments, please realize that I am not a hater of Battlefield. I am merely expressing my gripes (thus the name of the site) with the demo as is. I am fully aware that DICE is an excellent developer and have tons of confidence in their abilities. My concern is that their publisher EA will not give them the time they need to address these and many other issues (unknown to us) with less than 2 months before Bad Company 2 is released.
